Gilly is a 1977 Volkswagen Kombi Bus.

Fitted with rebuilt 1800cc engine with

new unleaded heads etc.

Gilly is now finished  and has just passed registration inspection (similar to MOT for our UK friends)


 

 


 


We intended to enter Gilly in Type 2 Bay class at the


 


The Day of the Volkswagen 2004  December 5th and try to win as we did in 2002 with:GOLDIE


 


 



UPDATE   7th. December 2004


Unfortunately Type 2 Bays did not have separate class at DOVW and all transporters were grouped together from Splits to latest T5s.


The winner was a magnificent 23 Window Samba , but we had many compliments ,and literally hundreds of photos taken ,and were quite pleased ,though like many other Bay owners were disappointed with grouping.


  


We were approached at Show and kindly offered a centre seat, which has now been reupholstered and fitted with correct new VW seat clamps, which allow seat to be removed in minutes.

Gilly is licenced as a 9 seater and this is shown on compliance plate.
